Last month saw Vegas’ Magazine’s 4 year Anniversary Party. Gosh, I can remember when the very first issue was published, it seems like only yesterday! The exclusive anniversary party which was thrown at Mandalay Beach with just over 4,000 private invitees featured chocolate fountains and A-listers galore.

Stars in attendance included magician Criss Angel, actress Kelly Carlson, Palms owner George Malouf, magician Teller (from Penn & Teller) and actor Pauly Shore. Katherine Mcphee of American Idol fame treated us to a live vocal performance. Boy was I lucky to have been mailed a private invite!

944 Magazine also celebrated an anniversary. It turned 2 years old, and celebrated with a weekend long party event schedule, held at the Hard Rock Resort and Casino. These parties were open to the public.
July in Vegas was chocked full of events, including Sin City being host to the WSOP, or World Series of Poker. I was lucky enough to attend some of the party events that go hand in hand with the series. I have to admit that the Private VIP opening party held in the Hugh Heffner, Playboy suite in the new Fantasy Tower at the Palms had to be the highlight! “Bunny” waitresses complete with fluffy bunny tails graced the party, and the complementary open bar wasn’t bad either!
Fight Night was also hosted in Vegas this month. Jermain Taylor fought against the legendary middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins at the MGM Grand. Even though I am a self confessed “girlie girl” and hate to watch boxing, I am beginning to change my mind after sharing a table with Oscar De La Hoya, and “Sugar” Shane Mosley, (both former boxing champions of the world) at Tryst Nightclub in the Wynn. Both guys were so sweet to me that it was one of the best VIP experiences I have ever had in Las Vegas, even with all of the celebrities I have hung out and partied with over the past 4 years in the states.

Another Celebrity I partied with this month was Omarosa Manigult-Stallworth, of NBC’s Season One Trump’s “Apprentice” fame. Having her crash on my couch in my high rise pad for the weekend was quite a trip! We partied our asses off, or should I say shook our booties on the dance floor at Chris Webber’s Foundation private benefit VIP party, at OPM Nightclub in Caesars Forum Shops.

Nightclub Openings this month: Asia Restaurant & Nightclub had a series of opening parties this month. Located in the Planet Hollywood’s new Miracle Mile shopping complex, it is easily accessible to both tourists and locals alike. This is in terms of location, and as an alternative to the Vegas strips famed super clubs, who without a VIP Host to accompany your group are practically impossible to gain entry through the tough Velvet Rope’s.
